Coachella has become the ultimate girls\u2019 trip but this year for the guys it\u2019s the World Cup.<\/p>\n

The pilgrimage to the US for arguably the world\u2019s biggest sporting event begins soon \u2014 and the hottest ticket in town is the Australia v USA group match in Seattle on June 19.<\/p>\n

Many of Melbourne\u2019s big names have snapped up prime position to cheer on the Socceroos.<\/p>\n

Among the round ball enthusiasts are former footballer Campbell Brown, gun media lawyer Justin Quill, media mogul Craig Hutchison, former athlete John Steffensen, poker star and podcaster Jackson Warne and PointsBet boss Andrew Catterall.<\/p>\n

Others heading over are celebrity hairdresser Joey Scandizzo and Nadia Bartel\u2019s partner Peter Dugmore who is celebrating his birthday.<\/p>\n

Also expected to be in the stands is radio host Clint Stanaway who on Friday announced the big news he\u2019s becoming a father<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Channel 9 newsreader Tom Steinfort was due to go as well but had his visa rejected <\/a>having been to countries such as Afghanistan and North Korea for his work on 60 Minutes.<\/p>\n

Scandizzo is heading to New York first to launch Kings Domain Melbourne products at Andy Lee\u2019s Old Mates Pub.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to be a ripping few weeks with the NBA finals, World Cup, baseball \u2014 a weekend of sport and fun,\u2019\u2019 Scandizzo said. \u201cIt\u2019s only on every four years, the World Cup is huge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Partner at top tier law firm Thomson Geer, media lawyer Justin Quill said for the record he was \u201cnot a soccer fan\u201d.<\/p>\n

But the sports enthusiast \u2014 who travels around the world to attend premier events \u2014 said the World Cup was the best \u201cby a mile\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s better than the Olympics, it\u2019s better than the Superbowl, it\u2019s even better than my obsession with tennis and Grand Slam finals,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the ultimate, the World Cup.\u201d<\/p>\n
