This culminated in an exciting conclusion to the event, especially after the light conditions of the previous two days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Division 1, Ciara Earley\u2019s Jutson 950, Jacobina, clinched the title with a victory in Race 3. Jacobina won four out of five races, securing the Gai Clough Memorial Trophy. Robyn Ragauskas\u2019 Bull 9000, Bullet, came in second on countback, while Katie Holroyd\u2019s Adams 10, Serious Yahoo, finished third, just one point behind the leaders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earley expressed her excitement, stating, \u201cOh my God, that is super cool. I\u2019ve done over ten \u2013 three of them on Jacobina \u2013 and never won.\u201d She praised her crew, remarking that it was their first time sailing together, and highlighted the fun and camaraderie of the regatta.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Division 2, Michelle de Blaquiere with her J24, Gridlock, took the title on countback against Holly Farmer\u2019s S80, Revolution. Janette Syme\u2019s J24, Jet, finished third. De Blaquiere praised her crew, mentioning their experience and teamwork, while also reflecting on the enjoyable atmosphere of the event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Farmer, who returned from New Zealand, noted that the day\u2019s conditions improved significantly, with more breeze allowing for better racing. She emphasised the fun and social aspect of the regatta, which keeps women engaged in sailing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regatta commenced with a chilly morning, but quickly warmed up as the breeze picked up. Race Officer Laura Hughson successfully initiated races on time, a welcome change after two days of light winds. A fleet of 36 boats raced down Port Phillip, showcasing a vibrant sailing community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Overall, five races were completed over the three-day King\u2019s Birthday weekend, marking a successful event. The prize-giving ceremony included various awards, such as the Rohan Brownlee Leadership and Endeavour Award, which went to Sue Burke, and the Novice Helm Award, awarded to Kym Jenkins.
