If Sydney\u2019s FM Breakfast radio scene were a footy league, it would be open slather: new teams not long in the comp and the reigning premiers already punted out and watching from the grandstand.<\/p>\n

To coin a footy phrase \u2013 it\u2019s anyone\u2019s game and an upset could be on the cards when GfK Survey 3 results come out tomorrow (Thursday, June 11th).<\/p>\n

When ARN controversially did the big trade in January this year \u2013 moving Gold 101.7 Breakfast duo Jonesy & Amanda to Drive in order to accommodate the national expansion of The Christian O\u2019Connell Show \u2013 the fallout was significant.<\/p>\n

Five months on, we see Jonesy & Amanda thrive in National Drive, however O\u2019Connell \u2013 whilst still hugely competitive in his home market of Melbourne \u2013 has yet to strike a chord with his new Sydney audience.<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see whether he makes some inroads in Survey 3.<\/p>\n

This book is historic in that it will be the first survey in more than two decades that doesn\u2019t feature Kyle and Jackie O on air together.<\/p>\n

Nova is hoping it\u2019s new Sydney Breakfast combo of Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell can build on their Survey 2 <\/a>result \u2013 which saw the show achieve a 9.0% share \u2013 Nova\u2019s strongest Sydney Breakfast share result in 17 years.<\/p>\n

SCA will also be looking to build on some promising Survey 2 results for its Sydney Breakfast shows.<\/p>\n

The most recent book saw 2DayFM\u2019s Nath & Emma continue to make ground \u2013 up 0.3% to a 3.9 share in Breakfast, with a 44,000 pick up in cume \u2013 while the Triple M Sydney Breakfast team of Beau, Cat & Woodsy gained half a share point to now sit at 5.5.<\/p>\n

A clear winner may or may not emerge, but in the tradition of all the great sideshows \u2013 the spin doctors will make sure every child wins a prize.<\/p>\n
