\nThe
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>‘s second Australian card of 2026
\nis officially set following the official
\nUFC Perth<\/a> weigh-ins.<\/p>\n

Headlining the event is former UFC welterweight champion Jack
\nDella Maddalena<\/a>, who will take on Brazil’s Carlos
\nPrates<\/a> in his first fight since losing the title. Both men
\nsuccessfully made weight for the five-round fight. The only fighter
\nto miss weight was Gerald
\nMeerschaert<\/a>, as the would-be middleweight clocked in four
\npounds overweight at 190 pounds. As a result of his weight miss,
\nopponent Jacob
\nMalkoun<\/a> will receive 30% of the purse of “GM3.”<\/p>\n

Della Maddalena is fighting back in his home country for the first
\ntime since 2023. The 29-year-old was last seen losing a one-sided
\ndecision to Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a>. Prior to the setback, the Scrappy MMA product had
\nbeen 8-0 inside the Octagon and defeated Belal
\nMuhammad<\/a> to claim the championship. The former welterweight
\nking weighed 170 pounds on the dot for his comeback.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, this is the biggest fight in the career of Prates
\n(23-7). “The Nightmare” is coming off a win over another former
\nchampion in Leon
\nEdwards<\/a>, who he viciously knocked out last year. The Brazilian
\nis 6-1 inside the UFC, with his only defeat coming to Ian Garry<\/a>.
\nThe 32-year-old stepped on the scale at 170 pounds exactly.<\/p>\n

UFC Perth will stream live on Paramount+ on Saturday morning. The
\nprelims begin at 4 a.m. ET\/1 a.m. PT, while the main card kicks off
\nat 7 a.m. ET\/4 p.m. PT.<\/p>\n
