SBS has the national free-to-air broadcast rights for the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS for the next two years. <\/p>\n
The TCS Sydney Marathon will be broadcast on Sunday, 30 August from 6.00am AEST live and free on SBS and SBS On Demand, with highlights available for catch-up on SBS On Demand following the event.<\/p>\n
As the only Abbott World Marathon Majors event in the Southern Hemisphere, the TCS Sydney Marathon draws elite athletes and everyday runners from 117 countries across the globe, all taking on one of the most spectacular race courses in the world. SBS\u2019s reach and commitment to diverse audiences makes it the ideal home for an event that unites communities and cultures in a shared celebration of sport and city.<\/p>\n

Sydney\u2019s streets become the stage on race day. The 42-kilometre course takes runners from North Sydney, across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and through the heart of the city, finishing at one of the most iconic finish lines in the world, the Sydney Opera House. SBS will give the nation front-row seats.<\/p>\n
The TCS Sydney Marathon is supported by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW. The event is owned by Athletics Australia and managed by Pont3.<\/p>\n
