{"id":32759,"date":"2026-06-17T02:01:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-17T02:01:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/32759\/"},"modified":"2026-06-17T02:01:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-17T02:01:10","slug":"suspicious-melbourne-gym-set-ablaze-for-second-day-in-row-months-after-police-raid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/32759\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Suspicious\u2019: Melbourne gym set ablaze for second day in row, months after police raid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Melbourne gym has been set on fire for the second time in 24 hours, months after it faced a police raid.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rare Breed gym was initially set ablaze on Tuesday but was hit by another arson attack in the early hours of Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Fire Rescue Victoria responded to emergency calls of a building fire in South Melbourne at 3.13am.<\/p>\n<p>The gym, which is owned by heavyweight boxer Ray Dimachki, was visited by fire crews just a day earlier, when the building was rammed by a vehicle and then set on fire in the night.<\/p>\n<p>Fire Rescue Victoria said both incidents were being treated as &#8220;suspicious&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFRV crews donned breathing apparatus and used hose lines to conduct an external attack on the blaze,\u201d Fire Rescue Victoria said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe incident was declared under control at 3.59am, approximately 40 minutes after crews arrived on scene.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The blaze on Tuesday was allegedly started by two arsonists who were seen using a car to knock down the gym door, before running inside and starting the fire.<\/p>\n<p>No arrests have been made in relation to the fires, and no people have been injured.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is the second time in two days that the premises has been targeted,&#8221;
