One Nation has captured one in four NSW voters, despite not having a single state MP or candidate.<\/p>\n

The latest DemosAU \/ PremierNational poll, published by The Daily Telegraph on Tuesday, revealed One Nation had captured 27 per cent of the primary vote.<\/p>\n

This result put One Nation ahead of the Coalition on 20 per cent and behind Labor on 32 per cent.<\/p>\n

Based on these results, One Nation could win as many as six upper house seats at the upcoming NSW election in 2027, despite not having announced any candidates yet.<\/p>\n

Asked about the poll on Tuesday, Ms Hanson told reporters that the result was \u201creally exciting\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that the people of New South Wales are saying that they’re looking at change and they want change,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cRural and regional areas have been forgotten. And I tell you what, don’t underestimate what’s happening in the seat of Riverina and down (near) that area.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’ve just won the seat of Farrer with 40 per cent of the primary vote. So a lot of people feel they’re being forgotten in rural and regional Australia.\u201d<\/p>\n

The federal seat of Riverina has been held by Nationals MP and former deputy prime minister Michael McCormack since 2010.<\/p>\n

One Nation MP David Farley recently won the Farrer by-election in a sweeping victory, after the seat was held by the Coalition since its inception.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Seat modelling released on Monday showed One Nation could win as many as 63 seats<\/a> if a federal election were to be held today.<\/p>\n

The latest Capital Brief \/ DemosAU modelling, based on 20,000 Monte Carlo simulations, projected One Nation could win between 54 and 63 lower house seats.<\/p>\n

One Nation currently has two lower house MPs, Barnaby Joyce and David Farley, but did not win a single lower house seat in the 2025 federal election.<\/p>\n

The Coalition could be reduced to between four and 11 seats, down sharply from the 16 to 28 seats projected in May.<\/p>\n

The projections mean the Liberal and National parties together risk losing almost 40 seats compared with the Coalition’s current representation.<\/p>\n

Labor would secure between 71 and 81 seats if current polling trends were replicated at an election, according to the modelling.<\/p>\n

Deputy leader of the Liberal Party Jane Hume told Sky News that One Nation had elected more than 50 candidates in the past but less than 10 lasted more than a term.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne Nation have actually successfully elected over 50 people in the last decade or so, and yet fewer than 10 have actually lasted more than one term,\u201d she said on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cEither they leave in a huff, they decide that the party isn’t for them, they don’t like an authoritarian regime that is imposed by the One Nation structure.<\/p>\n

\u201cOr One Nation realise that they were inappropriately selected in the first place. So let’s see how they go.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her comments came after\u00a0former senior Victorian Liberal Party executive member Colleen Harkin quit the party after attending a One Nation event<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The DemosAU federal modelling was based on a June poll of 1,497 voters which put One Nation on 30 per cent of the primary vote, ahead of Labor on 27 per cent.<\/p>\n

The findings come after Sky News Pulse \/ YouGov poll conducted from June 9 to 16 showed One Nation had retained its lead as the country\u2019s most popular party.<\/p>\n

That survey placed One Nation on 28 per cent, ahead of Labor on 26 per cent, with the Coalition trailing on 21 per cent.<\/p>\n

Despite One Nation\u2019s lead on the primary vote, Labor maintained a 52-48 advantage on a two-party preferred basis against both the Coalition and One Nation among all voters.<\/p>\n
