Queensland.

Every pool company told the Ipswich homeowners their dream pool could never be installed – until one business called in a chopper and proved them wrong.

Kimberley and Brendon Etheve operate Narellan Pools – Ipswich and South Brisbane and said when their clients, who live in Spring Mountain, came to them, they knew they had to think outside the box.

“Everyone had told them that it was just not possible (to install a pool) as the road is too steep, and where the excavation was, it couldn’t happen,” Ms Etheve said.

“Brendon and I are in the business of bringing people’s dreams to life and we thought ‘what can we do for this family’.

“There was literally no other option but to use a helicopter to deliver the pool.”

The business engaged Helicopter Lifting Services to move the 500kg 4.5x 3.5m plunge pool into place.

<a approvals, insurance and road exclusion zones before lifting and dropping the pool.

“They take off from their helipad and find a place where you can have your shell waiting on a truck,” Ms Etheve said.

“They hover over the truck as long as they need and up it goes.

“It’s roughly three to five minutes in the air.

“We were all holding out breath the entire time.”

Ms Etheve said she believed the pool lift was a first for Ipswich.

“It was honestly the most incredible thing to watch,” she said.

“Because this was a first for us, we’ve already had inquiry to do another two helicopter lifts.”

After posting the footage to social media, Ms Etheve said it had received more than 800,000 views.

“Most people are saying ‘why didn’t you use a normal crane’ or they are angry about the financial costs,” she summer.

“We only do fibreglass and our specialty is we do whole transformation packages,” Ms Etheve said.

“What sets us apart from traditional pool builders is we push boundaries.

“We love a challenge and we’re here to redefine the industry.”

Entry level turn key packages start from $55,000.

Originally published as <a
