The Labor Party has misspelt its tribute to Australia\u2019s first \u201cfelame\u201d prime minister Julia Gillard in a social media slip-up. \u00a0<\/p>\n
In a post to the NSW Labor Facebook page, an image was shared of Ms Gillard on the anniversary of her becoming prime minister in 2010.<\/p>\n
But in the tribute post, the Labor Party accidentally misspelt the word \u201cfemale\u201d as \u201cfelame\u201d before quickly correcting the error.<\/p>\n
Ms Gillard booted former prime minister Kevin Rudd from the top job on June 24, 2010 after serving as his deputy from 2006.<\/p>\n
The former prime minister returned to headlines<\/a> in recent months when Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan was branded a \u201cwitch\u201d in a billboard campaign.<\/p>\n Ms Gillard \u2013 who faced attacks with the same slogan over the carbon tax more than a decade ago \u2013 condemned the billboard campaign.<\/p>\n \u201cI am disgusted to see the use of the slogan \u2018Ditch the Witch\u2019 in Victoria and aimed at Premier Jacinta (Allan),\u201d Ms Gillard said.<\/p>\n \u201cWhoever funded the billboards bearing these signs should be outed for what they are \u2013 unimaginative and sexist,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n In her post defending the Victorian Premier, Ms Gillard also made a typo, misspelling Jacinta “Allen”.<\/p>\n
