The rainbands are tipped to sweep the nation over the week bringing widespread rain across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and the Northern Territory.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The heaviest rainfall is expected to hit the Murray-Darling basin, with some areas expecting to see 50 to\u00a0100mm\u00a0totals over the next seven days.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0The first of the two rainbands is expected to cross the basin either late on Monday or early on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The system is expected to drag more rain and wind across the state until midway through next week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Over Sunday, Canberra and Hobart will be the nation\u2019s coldest cities.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The nation\u2019s capital is to expect temperatures between 3 and 14C with the chance of a late shower.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hobart is\u00a0expecting\u00a0between 3C and 12C.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
In Melbourne, the mercury is tipped to hover between 5C and 17C with fog clearing into a sunny day.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Sydney\u00a0has a high chance of heavy showers on Sunday, with a minimum of 12C and a maximum of 18C.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Brisbane is also expecting light showers and temperatures between 12C and 21C.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
In Darwin, the maximum will be 31C and the minimum 21C on\u00a0a partially\u00a0cloudy day.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
A cloudy\u00a0day in Adelaide will see\u00a0temperatures sit\u00a0between 10C and 18C.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
