{"id":40179,"date":"2026-06-28T20:36:38","date_gmt":"2026-06-28T20:36:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/40179\/"},"modified":"2026-06-28T20:36:38","modified_gmt":"2026-06-28T20:36:38","slug":"aami-park-world-cup-live-site-giving-away-free-breakfast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/40179\/","title":{"rendered":"AAMI Park World Cup live site giving away free breakfast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Victorians have been given an extra reason to get out of bed early to cheer on Australia at the World Cup, with free breakfast to be served to fans at a Melbourne live site on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Herald Sun can reveal AAMI Park and Federation Square will again host public watch parties for the Socceroos, despite Australia\u2019s <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldsun.com.au\/sport\/football\/fifa-world-cup-live-france-vs-norway-who-will-socceroos-face-in-round-of-32\/live-coverage\/c187912105e6688ba39afba1286c6390\" title=\"www.heraldsun.com.au\" data-tgev=\"event119\" data-tgev-container=\"bodylink\" data-tgev-order=\"c187912105e6688ba39afba1286c6390\" data-tgev-label=\"sport\" data-tgev-metric=\"ev\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">do-or-die round of 32 clash against Egypt<\/a> kicking off at 4am.<\/p>\n<p id=\"U101202174881c2H\">To ease the pain of the early rise, free hot breakfast will be served to the first 10,000 fans through the gates at AAMI Park. <\/p>\n<p id=\"U101201702427mQF\">Doors open at 2am, with ham and cheese toasties, croissants, vegetarian quiche, cheese and bacon pies and breakfast sausage rolls all at no cost.<\/p>\n<p>Melbourne Park chief executive John Harnden said the initiative would help create \u201ca memorable live site experience\u201d and \u201can electric atmosphere at AAMI Park as fans unite behind the Socceroos\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI also want to thank the many thousands of fans who have come through our gates to celebrate this historic moment for Australian sport,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>More than 27,000 fans packed AAMI Park across the Socceroos\u2019 first three matches, with further crowds filling live sites in Bendigo, Ballarat, Geelong, Traralgon and Shepparton.
