A Sydney woman has dialled in to HIT Network’s Lucy & Nikki to reveal why she chose to tie the knot at a surprising iconic Australian cultural institution.<\/p>\n

New bride Daisy Manzini told radio hosts Lucy Jackson and Nikki Westcott this week that she decided to say “I do” at Bunnings Warehouse in Alexandria because she wanted a \u201chi-vis vibe” for her nuptials as a nod to her “lifelong dedication to neon”.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She went on to dub the inner south suburb’s hardware store the “most romantic place on earth”.<\/p>\n

“Bunnings has always been a really romantic place for me and my husband,” she revealed, adding that one of their first dates was at Bunnings.<\/p>\n

“Before we started dating, I had a dream that we were shopping at Bunnings together and it kind of pushed me to ask the boy out.”<\/p>\n

She went on to reveal that she and her partner had joked about getting married at Bunnings throughout their “whole relationship” before it came to fruition.<\/p>\n

However, the tricky part about getting married at the beloved Aussie store was finding a location that “had an area that we could get married in while the shop still operated”.<\/p>\n

“So we had to ask quite a few Bunnings until I finally found (that) Alexandria had this awesome courtyard out the front of the Bunnings that we could rent out for the wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not only did Alexandria’s Bunnings give the couple the green light to host their wedding at the location, but they also agreed to let them hold the nuptials for free.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We had to get public liability insurance. But everything else Bunnings provided,” she revealed, adding that the chair and the garden arch they were married under were both organised by the hardware store.<\/p>\n

“It was awesome!\u201d she gushed.<\/p>\n

And Bunnings isn’t the only major Aussie brand that played a significant role in Daisy’s wedding.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We posed for our engagement photos at Kmart,” she told the radio hosts.<\/p>\n

“But we actually got engaged across the road at the park.
