(Supplied: SA Police)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">He was charged with possessing a prohibited weapon, carrying an article of disguise and refusing to provide his personal details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Police also arrested and charged a 15-year-old boy with breaching bail conditions and carrying an article of disguise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">A second 15-year-old boy, from Craigmore, was arrested after allegedly attempting to open a police vehicle containing the other two youths.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">He was charged with hindering police, interfering with a motor vehicle and carrying an article of disguise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">All three boys were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Second incident in two days<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">In a separate incident on Tuesday afternoon, police said a 15-year-old boy, also from Craigmore was among a group of youths and, during a verbal altercation with another group, showed them a knife.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Police charged the teenager with affray and possessing a prohibited weapon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">The arrests come as SA Police announced it was establishing a dedicated team to patrol the Adelaide CBD.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">An independent review into SA Police&#8217;s <a class=\"Link_link__kR0xA Link_link__5eL5m ScreenReaderOnly_srLinkHint__OysWz Link_showVisited__C1Fea Link_showFocus__ALyv2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2026-06-23\/union-no-confidence-vote-against-sa-police-leadership\/106833264\" data-component=\"Link\" data-uri=\"coremedia:\/\/article\/106833264\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">controversial district policing model<\/a> recommended the initiative.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Thirty additional police officers will join a team prioritising Hindley and Rundle streets and will be used to quickly respond during periods of peak demand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Last year, Rundle Mall was <a class=\"Link_link__kR0xA Link_link__5eL5m ScreenReaderOnly_srLinkHint__OysWz Link_showVisited__C1Fea Link_showFocus__ALyv2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.net.au\/news\/2025-10-02\/colonnades-modbury-tea-tree-plaza-rundle-mall-public-precincts\/105844740\" data-component=\"Link\" data-uri=\"coremedia:\/\/article\/105844740\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">among the first places police announced as Declared Public Precincts<\/a>, allowing officers to use metal detectors to wand shoppers for knives at random and to order a person to leave the centre for 24 hours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A 12-year-old boy who allegedly had a machete concealed in his pants was among four boys arrested in&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":42574,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[8],"tags":[395,33341,3340,33340,201,33342,12207,12695,33339,1056,1055,21121],"class_list":["post-42573","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-adelaide","tag-adelaide","tag-adelaide-youth-court","tag-arrest","tag-balaclava","tag-cctv","tag-conceal","tag-knife","tag-machete","tag-rundle-mall","tag-sa-police","tag-sapol","tag-weapon"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/42573","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=42573"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/42573\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/42574"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=42573"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=42573"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=42573"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
