The Royal Australian Mint<\/a> has announced a recall<\/a> of an uncirculated $2 coin kit that launched earlier this year for kids.<\/p>\n

The $30 Tooth Fairy Kit<\/a> came with the rare coin, as well as a case, toothbrush, and tooth chart.<\/p>\n

It was “specially crafted” and “adorned in delightful colours” that was meant to “capture the magic of the Tooth Fairy’s visit”.<\/p>\n

But the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has revealed there’s an issue involved with the plastic case<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was found to be emitting a “strong chemical odour”, and this could cause “irritation or injury” if it’s inhaled.<\/p>\n

“Stop using the product immediately and keep out of reach of children,” the consumer watchdog warned.<\/p>\n

The kit was sold between February 28 to March 31, and was available at the Mint, Adelaide Exchange, Peter’s of Kensington, Peter Strich Stamps & Coins, and Swan Bullion.<\/p>\n

They were also sold online.<\/p>\n

If you’re unsure if this recall affects your kit, you can check if it has certain identifying numbers.<\/p>\n

You want to look out for a barcode number of 9314688 11923 9, or a product code of 11923.<\/p>\n

Aussies with the kit can return it to the place they purchased it from for a full refund or a replacement.<\/p>\n

They can still keep the coin, but they’re advised to return the case and other components for a partial refund.<\/p>\n
