<\/p>\nSouth Australia’s Supreme Court has been played a recorded prison phone call in which a woman confronts her former partner’s alleged murderer.<\/p>\n

Johnathan Paul Parker, 51, is standing trial after previously pleading not guilty to the murder of Krystal Marshall, 38, in October 2023, but guilty to destroying her remains by setting them on fire.<\/p>\n
The trial previously heard Parker was in a romantic relationship with the alleged victim’s ex-wife, Anastasia Marshall, and that the three of them were living together in Krystal Marshall’s house at Aldinga Beach.<\/p>\n
Krystal Marshall’s body was discovered in her bedroom the day after her alleged murder when emergency services attended at the house following reports of a fire.<\/p>\n
Prison phone calls played to the court this week captured various conversations between Parker and Anastasia Marshall, including one in which she claims to know he committed the alleged crime.<\/p>\n
“You just f***ing murdered my wife for no f***ing reason,” Anastasia Marshall can be heard to say.<\/p>\n

Parker can be heard responding: “I didn’t murder anybody love, stop saying s*** like that.”<\/p>\n
The phone call subsequently captured Anastasia Marshall apologising.<\/p>\n
“I know you didn’t, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it like that,” she said.<\/p>\n
In another call, Parker can be heard telling Anastasia Marshall to “throw [him] to the wolves”.<\/p>\n
“It’s my fault anyway,” he said.<\/p>\n
Other calls captured the alleged murderer telling the woman that “we’ve just got to be smart about what we say now” and that “the less we say now, the better it will be for us later”.<\/p>\n
