A man trying to sexually assault two women in Melbourne has been stopped by a pack of dogs.<\/p>\n
The man, who attempted the assault at an oval in Melbourne, was chased by a group of dogs who were captured on video jumping up at him as he fled.<\/p>\n
Two women were walking their dogs on Gardiners Creek around 11:30 am on Tuesday when a man jumped out from nearby bushes and grabbed one of them, says Victoria Police.<\/p>\n
After being fought off by one of the women, he then turned on the second.<\/p>\n
“He then tried to pull the other woman toward him, and she also managed to push him away,” Victoria Police said in a statement.<\/p>\n
Both women successfully broke free of the man before their dogs chased him away.<\/p>\n
Footage of the incident shows at least seven dogs chasing the alleged attacker into a tunnel underneath the Monash Freeway.<\/p>\n
Police are investigating the incident which occurred at Righetti Oval in the suburb of Kooyong on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n
The man can be seen tripping and stumbling over the dogs as he attempted to run away.<\/p>\n
Police have described the man as being of African appearance, wearing a black tracksuit with a grey hooded top, along with white socks and sliders and a blue backpack.<\/p>\n
