Credit: I\u2019ll Catch It Snake Relocations\/Facebook<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">Doctors monitored her closely overnight amid fears the venom could still take effect hours after the incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">Relief came on Thursday morning when the woman was discharged after doctors confirmed the bite was dry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">\u201cShe got discharged this morning and her husband picked her up,\u201d Mailey told 7NEWS.com.au<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">\u201cA member of the public was so kind and dropped the bikes back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">The snake was not as fortunate. When Mailey arrived, the snake was still entwined in the bicycle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">With the snake still alive, Mailey first restrained its head before members of the public and <a class=\"css-1lg16vp-StyledTextLink ezegcyi0\" data-link-type=\"article-inline\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/7news.com.au\/news\/nsw-police\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">NSW Police<\/a> helped dismantle parts of the bicycle to free the tangled eastern brown. <\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">\u201cI\u2019ve got him. Credit: I\u2019ll Catch It Snake Relocations\/Facebook<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">Mailey rushed the injured reptile to the nearest wildlife hospital, about 30 minutes away, but its injuries were too severe to survive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">\u201cUnfortunately the injuries were mid-body where all the vital organs are,\u201d she said.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">\u201cThe snake had to be euthanised.\u201d&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">Mailey believes the eastern brown\u2019s impaired vision may have contributed to the incident.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">\u201cThe snake was blind in one eye, which is why I think it didn\u2019t see the bike coming,\u201d she said.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1n6q21n-StyledParagraph e4e0a020\">\u201cSnakes have poor vision, but they notice movement and vibrations.
