Jackson Irvine (St Pauli \u2013 Bundesliga) and Connor Metcalfe (St Pauli \u2013 Bundesliga) were relegated from Germany\u2019s top flight last season, while Mat Ryan (free agent) departed LaLiga\u2019s Levante at the conclusion of his 2025-26 contract.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Beach, it is another big step in his career, both at club and international level.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 22-year-old debuted for Melbourne City in 2024-25 before winning the A-League Championship, and earned his first Socceroos cap in November last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/football360.com.au\/patrick-beach-socceroos-world-cup-melbourne-city-a-league-interview-what-is-next\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Speaking to Football360<\/a>, City goalkeeper coach Sander Krabbendam said: \u201cHe must have success. He\u2019s on a mission and he will go to Europe, and he will have success there. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat\u2019s what he goes for, and no one can stand in his way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added: \u201cI believe that his ceiling can be\u00a0in the absolute top leagues in Europe.\u00a0Only he has to make the right steps now,\u00a0\u00a0and he must continue playing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe can maybe make a step now to a very big club\u00a0where he can come on the bench,\u00a0and then his career is in danger.\u00a0But if he makes steps where he starts playing\u00a0and he keeps on growing every day,\u00a0what he did now the last two and a half years\u00a0here at Melbourne City, then there is no ceiling.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Socceroos and Melbourne City goalkeeper Patrick Beach is reportedly set to join French Ligue 1 club Troyes.
