Damp conditions could disrupt weekend plans across a large stretch of the country\u2019s east coast, with incoming showers potentially avoiding one major city.<\/p>\n
Eastern areas, including Sydney, have seen bouts of wet weather in recent days, with the state capital recording 31.2mm of rainfall in the 24 hours to 9am on Friday.<\/p>\n
Examining the outlook for Saturday, Sky News Weather Meteorologist Marina Neuman said incoming showers would make for a wet weekend, \u201cbut only for some\u201d.<\/p>\n
Neuman explained that a weather system would continue to hover off the coast of Queensland.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat southerly flow, not only just bringing in those showers, but making conditions feel even cooler,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Heading into the weekend, the meteorologist said ongoing heavy rainfall would likely target areas including Coffs Harbour, Lismore and the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n
\u201cMeanwhile, Sydney almost completely dry by Saturday afternoon and as we head into our Sunday,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast a very high chance of showers for Coffs Harbour and Lismore on Saturday, with wet conditions also likely for the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, marine wind warnings have been issued for New South Wales’ Byron, Coffs and Macquarie coasts for Saturday, as well as much of coastal Southeast Queensland.<\/p>\n
Weather forecast across AustraliaSydney<\/p>\n
The Bureau has forecast a partly cloudy day and light winds for the Harbour City on Saturday, along with a medium chance of showers.<\/p>\n
The mercury is expected to drop to 13 degrees and climb to a maximum of 19 degrees.<\/p>\n
Melbourne<\/p>\n
Melburnians can expect a partly cloudy start to their weekends, with light winds also forecast.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Victorian capital is set to plummet to a chilly 5 degrees and reach 15 degrees.<\/p>\n
Brisbane<\/p>\n
A potentially damp Saturday has been forecast for Brisbane, along with light winds.<\/p>\n
A low of 13 degrees and a high of 23 degrees is expected for the city.<\/p>\n
Perth<\/p>\n
Perth is likely to see wet weather, with showers most likely in the early morning.<\/p>\n
A minimum of 13 degrees and a maximum of 18 degrees have been forecast.<\/p>\n
Adelaide<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, sunshine is expected in Adelaide for the first half of the weekend.<\/p>\n
A cool 6-degree low and an 18-degree high are likely.<\/p>\n
Canberra<\/p>\n
A sunny afternoon is expected to follow morning frost and potential fog in the national capital.<\/p>\n
A nail-biting low of \u20131 degree and a high of 16 degrees are expected.<\/p>\n
Hobart<\/p>\n
A slight chance of a shower and partly cloudy conditions have been forecast for the Tasmanian capital.<\/p>\n
The city is set to drop to 7 degrees and reach 15 degrees.<\/p>\n
Darwin<\/p>\n
Sunny skies and potentially windy conditions are expected in Darwin on Saturday.<\/p>\n
