Many east coast residents are set to see ongoing showers on Sunday before dry conditions return for most residents of one state in the new week.<\/p>\n
A weather system brought damp and cloudy conditions across much of coastal northern New South Wales and southern Queensland on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Heading into Sunday, Sky News Weather Meteorologist Marina Neuman said showers are expected to continue across some areas of the east coast.<\/p>\n
\u201cEspecially focused on Lismore, as well as Brisbane and the Gold Coast,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cLismore is seeing the potential for some of the highest rainfall totals.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, the meteorologist explained that \u201cvery dry conditions\u201d were expected to move into most of New South Wales.<\/p>\n
\u201cOngoing showers across Coffs Harbour and then pushing north from the Gold Coast into Bundaberg as we’re heading into our Sunday night,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is when things really begin to change, that lifting of that system, moving away from that otherwise stagnant system.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat’s going to happen as we head into our Monday, allowing for dry conditions to return from Monday into Tuesday.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Meteorology has issued hazardous surf warnings for New South Wales\u2019 Byron and Coffs Coasts and Queensland\u2019s Gold Coast Waters on Sunday.<\/p>\n
NSW Police Marine Area Command has advised people in affected regions to avoid walking near surf-exposed areas and consider not entering the water.<\/p>\n
Weather forecast across AustraliaSydney<\/p>\n
Skies over Sydney are expected to be partly cloudy on Sunday, with a slight chance of a shower also forecast by the Bureau.<\/p>\n
The mercury is expected to record a 14-degree low and a 19-degree high.<\/p>\n
Melbourne<\/p>\n
A mostly sunny day has been forecast for Melbourne, along with light winds.<\/p>\n
A chilly low of 4 degrees and a high of 17 degrees are likely.<\/p>\n
Brisbane<\/p>\n
Brisbane residents are likely to see wet weather amid a cloudy Sunday.<\/p>\n
A minimum of 15 degrees and a maximum of 23 degrees are expected.<\/p>\n
Perth<\/p>\n
Partly cloudy conditions and a medium chance of showers have been forecast for Perth for the second half of the weekend.<\/p>\n
The Western Australian capital is set to drop to 9 degrees and reach 18 degrees.<\/p>\n
Adelaide<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, mostly sunny skies and light winds are expected in Adelaide.<\/p>\n
An 8-degree low and a 17-degree high have been forecast.<\/p>\n
Canberra<\/p>\n
Morning frost and light winds have been forecast for Canberra amid a sunny day.<\/p>\n
A freezing low of \u20132 degrees and a high of 16 degrees are expected.<\/p>\n
Hobart<\/p>\n
The Tasmanian capital is set to see partly cloudy skies on Sunday, with light winds also forecast.<\/p>\n
The city is expected to drop to 7 degrees and climb to 16 degrees.<\/p>\n
Darwin<\/p>\n
A sunny and potentially windy day is expected for Darwin.<\/p>\n
