He spent the ’24/25 season on a two-way deal with the Cavaliers and then signed another two-way contract with Cleveland last July before being waived this February.

Travers made 24 NBA regular season appearances during his season-and-a-half with the Cavs but primarily played in garbage time. He saw more action for the Cleveland Charge in the G League, where he filled up the box score by averaging 17.0 points, 9.4 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.3 blocks in 33.1 minutes per game over the course of 36 total outings. His NBAGL shooting line was .465/.275/.653.

Melbourne United made Australia’s NBL finals in Travers’ last season in 2024 and again in 2025, but fell short of a championship both times. The 24-year-old said he’s looking forward to helping lead the team to its first title since 2021.

“I’m obviously super excited to get another shot at winning a championship with United,” Travers said. “I’m coming into a group with a lot of really skilled, versatile players and veteran experience. I think the sky is the limit.

“… I really want to win. I think every basketball player’s dream is to just be remembered as a winner when you finish playing. “Obviously that entails winning as many championships as you can, and that starts now. When I’m done, I want to be known as a guy that’s won four or five championships, so the biggest goal right now is the winning and then everything kind of takes care of itself.”

After spending most of the past two seasons in the NBA, Australian wing Luke Travers is headed back…

[4
58263,260
post-57027","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-melbourne","tag-luke-travers","tag-melbourne
["GET
