One Nation will sell “sitdown” dog leads after Barnaby Joyce’s bombastic TV appearance at the beginning of the week.<\/p>\n

On Monday evening, clips of Mr Joyce went viral as he broke away from answering a question on ABC\u2019s 7.30 to yell at his dog, Stella, to \u201csit down\u201d.<\/p>\n

Pauline Hanson’s outfit announced on Thursday its intention to capitalise on the outburst by selling the branded merch.<\/p>\n

“Barnaby’s dog received more media attention than the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader, Angus Taylor, this week following an ABC live cross where he was forced to tell his dog to sit down mid-interview,\u201d Ms Hanson tweeted.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo mark the memorable moment that went viral, One Nation has launched a limited number of ‘Sitdown’, Barnaby dog leashes.\u201d<\/p>\n

The site has only released AI-generated images of a box reading: “Sitdown \/ Barnaby’s dog leads.”<\/p>\n

It does not include, however, what the lead would look like.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The announcement comes after Mr Joyce attracted mixed reactions to roaring at his dog during the live ABC interview on Monday.<\/p>\n

Partway through the interview with host Sarah Ferguson, in which he was being grilled on Ms Hanson’s recent “white Australia” comments, he broke off from the discussion to yell at his dog.<\/p>\n

He added “sorry, it’s the dog,” before resuming the interview.<\/p>\n

As Ferguson pressed him on a mass deportation manifesto presented to his leader while in the UK, Mr Joyce apologised for his dog again.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I have to\u00a0apologise\u00a0for this dog, which has decided to bail up,” he said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ferguson instructed him: “Don’t\u00a0worry about the dog, just answer the question”.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mr\u00a0Joyce then told the host not to be “rude”.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Don’t be rude, otherwise this interview will come to a grinding halt, Sarah,” he said.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0Wednesday,\u00a0he\u00a0apologised\u00a0for the outburst,\u00a0despite his boss publicly backing him on Tuesday and describing the incident as “funny”<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mr Joyce said the dog \u201cwas right underneath my feet, underneath the deck \u2026 just barking\u201d and he \u201ccouldn\u2019t hear the questions\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd Sarah Ferguson\u2019s getting a fair run-up and giving me some media chin music, and \u2026 I\u2019m not on the balls of my toes \u2013 I\u2019m not playing the good shots, so I\u2019m getting a little bit angry,\u201d he told Nine\u2019s Today.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then I verbally assaulted the dog, which I\u2019m incredibly sorry for.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms Hanson addressed the incident during a question-and-answer session with the West Australian.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I laughed, it’s funny, that’s\u00a0(Mr\u00a0Joyce),\u00a0you know,” she said.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

“This is why I love the people around me, we’re just human, we’re just human, okay?
