Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today Arrow<\/a><\/p>\n His wife, Sithara Sivadasan, remembered Mohandas as her \u201cbest friend, the loving father of our two young children and the sole breadwinner of our family\u201d in a fundraiser launched to help<\/a> support the family.<\/p>\n \u201cHe worked tirelessly to build a better future for us,\u201d she wrote on the GoFundMe<\/a> page.<\/p>\n The family had been reunited for just two months after Sithara and the couple\u2019s two children, aged 10 and four, moved from Kerala, India, to Australia to join Mohandas.<\/p>\n \u201cI resigned from my secure government job so that we could finally live together as a family,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe moved into a rental home in Augustine Heights, filled with dreams of starting a new life.
<\/p>\n \u201cInstead, our world has been shattered beyond words.
<\/p>\n \u201cIn an instant, my children lost their loving father, and I lost my life partner.\u201d<\/p>\n Only five weeks before the crash, the family celebrated buying a new Tesla Model Y.<\/p>\n In a Facebook post<\/a> on June 13, Sithara captioned a video of the electric vehicle\u2019s delivery: \u201cWelcoming our newest family member home!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe kids are already obsessed with the screen, but the Tesla Light Show in the garage definitely stole the spotlight.\u201d<\/p>\n She said the family is now trying to raise money to return Mohandas\u2019 body to his hometown of Thrissur, where he can be laid to rest surrounded by family. <\/p>\n The fundraiser will also help Sithara and the couple\u2019s two children return to India, where their family can support them through the \u201cunimaginable tragedy\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cNo words can express the pain of losing Sarath, and no amount of money can replace him,\u201d she wrote.
