Queensland and New South Wales will face a cold and icy start on Sunday.<\/p>\n

There will be widespread frost for many across east Australia before plunging temperatures begin to rise.<\/p>\n

Sky News Meteorologist Marina Neuman noted that despite the wind speed and chill easing for south and southeast Australia throughout Sunday, those living in south Queensland and north NSW, in particular, will face a cold start.<\/p>\n

“Despite seeing the wind chill beginning to ease we are looking at one more very cool and icy start,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Widespread frost once again for at least the north eastern part of New South Wales and much of Queensland.”<\/p>\n

Temperatures have also dropped significantly for Uluru and Alice Springs.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, wind and rain will batter the south with significant rainfall totals underway for Tasmania.<\/p>\n

“That pause in the snowfall due to the winds beginning to shift and not dealing with that frigid and sub-zero wind chill that we saw earlier in the week now moving out of the west will lead to it being a bit more comfortable,” Neuman said.<\/p>\n

“But, still ongoing wet weather really targeting the western coast of Tasmania.”<\/p>\n

Sydney<\/p>\n

NSW’s capital will enjoy a clear Sunday with a very high chance of no rain. Sydneysiders can expect temperatures between 9C and 19C.<\/p>\n

Melbourne<\/p>\n

There is a slight chance of showers for Melbourne in the morning and Victorians can expect partly cloudy and light windy conditions with temperatures between 9C and 16C.<\/p>\n

Brisbane<\/p>\n

A sunny day with light winds can be expected for the Sunshine State’s capital. Temperatures are forecast to reach a high of 21C and a low of 7C.<\/p>\n

Canberra<\/p>\n

The nation’s capital will likely experience patchy frost and the chance of fog in the morning before a mostly sunny afternoon. A low temperature of 1C and a high of 15C is to be expected.<\/p>\n

Adelaide<\/p>\n

A partly cloudy Sunday is expected for Adelaide with a medium chance of showers, most likely in the morning and afternoon. Light winds with a low of 9C expected and a high of 16C.<\/p>\n

Hobart<\/p>\n

A partly cloudy start for Hobart with a slight chance of showers. Light winds becoming west to northwesterly 15 to 25km\/h in the morning before becoming light in the evening. Temperatures are forecast between 7C and 15C.<\/p>\n

Perth<\/p>\n

Perth is very likely to be hit with rain showers on Sunday morning. A cloudy and windy start to the day with temperatures expected between 11C and 19C.<\/p>\n

Darwin<\/p>\n

Darwin will enjoy a sunny day with temperatures expected between 19C and 31C. Winds east to southeasterly 15 to 25 km\/h tending east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km\/h in the early afternoon before becoming light in the late afternoon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Queensland and New South Wales will face a cold and icy start on Sunday.
