Salkilld knocked out Beneil
\nDariush<\/a> in the first round of the co-main event at
\nUFC Perth<\/a> last weekend. Salkilld subsequently called for a
\nmatchup against Gamrot. Explaining his callout, Salkilld says that
\nhe is a fan of Gamrot\u2019s scrappy style of wrestling. The Australian
\nhas also recently watched a lot of tape of Gamrot\u2019s 2022 loss to
\nDariush. Considering Gamrot\u2019s slot in the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a>\u2019s official rankings, Salkilld
\nbelieves it is a good time for him to fight the Pole. While
\nSalkilld is known for his knockout power, he wants to test himself
\non the mat against Gamrot.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love watching Gamrot,\u201d Salkilld told MMA Junkie<\/a>. \u201cI like the wrestling
\nstyle; he has an exciting wrestling style where he just hits
\nscrambles. And I was watching him vs. Beneil many times leading up
\nto the Beneil fight. He is the kind of fight I\u2019ve always pictured
\nmyself having. He just had a good win, he\u2019s ranked No. 7, so he is
\ninside the Top 10. So just with the timing of everything, I thought
\nthat\u2019s a good next step for me\u2026 I want to have a tussle as well
\nwith Gamrot, I\u2019d love to have some scrambles on the mat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gamrot (26-4) is coming off a submission win over an up-and-coming
\nEstevan Ribovics that saw him rebound from a submission loss
\nagainst Charles
\nOliveira<\/a>. Meanwhile, Salkilld (12-1) has finished four of his
\nfive UFC wins so far, with each earning him a Performance
