midway through term 1. <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adelaidenow.com.au\/education\/regions\/south-australia\/school-unveils-new-arts-centre-funded-by-philanthropist-pamela-walls-1m-donation\/news-story\/74184336f90273187e9c5a160dba9dcc\" target=\"_blank\" data-tgev=\"event119\" data-tgev-container=\"bodylink\" data-tgev-order=\"74184336f90273187e9c5a160dba9dcc\" data-tgev-label=\"education\" data-tgev-metric=\"ev\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">St Peter\u2019s Woodlands (SPW) Grammar School<\/a> former head of early years and deputy principal Sarah Noell has taken the top job at the reception to year 6 college.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Noell had been acting principal after Helen Finlay left the school in March. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving been part of the SPW community for the past eight years, I have experienced first-hand the incredible commitment, care and passion of our students, staff and families,\u201d Ms Noell said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue leading this wonderful school and look forward to building on our strong foundations as we embrace the future together.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>School council chairman Reverand Michael Lane said the principal was appointed for her qualities including strong internal leadership. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cLeading a school is about far more than strategy and decision-making,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is about building relationships, creating a shared vision and ensuring that every child feels known, valued and supported. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThroughout her time at St Peter\u2019s Woodlands, Sarah has embodied these qualities every day.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The previous principal, Ms Finlay, left the school midway through term 1 after she took a role at Oxford Falls Grammar in NSW to move with her husband closer to their elderly parents. <\/p>\n<p>She began as principal at St Peter\u2019s Woodlands in 2020 after moving from Sydney. <\/p>\n<p>During her time at the Glenelg private college, Ms Finlay was named on <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adelaidenow.com.au\/south-australia-education\/power-20-list-the-top-influential-principals-of-south-australias-public-and-private-schools-ranked\/news-story\/a2952921462ae536cd346c61bfdbfac0\" target=\"_blank\" data-tgev=\"event119\" data-tgev-container=\"bodylink\" data-tgev-order=\"a2952921462ae536cd346c61bfdbfac0\" data-tgev-label=\"south-australia-education\" data-tgev-metric=\"ev\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Advertiser\u2019s 2024 Power 20 list of influential South Australian principals<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>That year, she was named Primary School Principal of the Year (independent
