From there, he progressed through Football South Australia’s NTC program before joining Adelaide United’s Youth setup, following another short stint back at Para Hills.

His development accelerated rapidly. In 2023, he played an important role in Adelaide United’s RAA NPLSA Championship-winning campaign, scoring five goals. He backed that up in 2024 with an outstanding individual season in the state’s top flight, netting 10 goals in 23 matches and underlining his readiness for the next step.

White made his senior competitive debut for the Club in the Australia Cup Round of 32 against Blacktown City FC, becoming the 209th player to represent Adelaide United.

That upward trajectory was further reinforced in 2024 when he committed his future to the Club, signing a long-term deal through until 2029.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" data-attachment-id="335988" data-permalink="https://adelaideunited.com.au/news/alagich-vidmar-2025-26-aurelio-vidmar-medal-ryan-white/a-league-men-rd-5-adelaide-united-v-melbourne-city-5/" data-orig-file="https://adelaideunited.com.au/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2026/05/GettyImages-2247760920.jpg" data-orig-size="4230,6486" data-comments-opened="0" data-image-meta="{"aperture":"3.5","credit":"Getty Images","camera":"NIKON Z 9","caption":"ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA - NOVEMBER 21: Airton Andrioli, Head coach of Adelaide United coach hugs Ryan White of Adelaide United after the round 5 A-League Men match between Adelaide United and Melbourne City at Coopers Stadium, on November 21, 2025, in Adelaide, Australia. For a young player to show that level of consistency, maturity, and courage in big moments is not easy, but he has embraced every challenge in front of him.

“What I like most about Ryan is that he is always willing to learn and always willing to work. He has a fantastic engine, but more importantly he has the mentality to keep improving every day. He gives everything for the team, he plays without fear, and he has earned the trust of the players and staff around him.

“This award is a credit to Ryan, but also to the pathway at this Club. He is another young South Australian who has taken his opportunity and shown what is possible when talent, hard work, and belief come together. We are very proud of him, but we also know this is just the beginning for Ryan.”

A Future Taking Shape

Still only at the beginning of his senior career, White’s 2025/26 season felt like an arrival.

This award recognises more than just numbers. It reflects the trust he earned, the consistency he delivered, and the belief he has inspired in those around him. Whether driving forward from midfield, creating moments of quality, or producing in high-pressure situations, White showed he belongs at this level — and that his ceiling remains incredibly high.

To be named Aurelio Vidmar Medalist at 20 is a significant milestone. For Ryan White, it is both a reward for an outstanding season and a signal of what may still lie ahead.

Ryan White has been named Adelaide United’s 2026 Aurelio Vidmar Medalist, capping off a breakout campaign that confirmed…

[8
341,395,957,958
0":"post-5936","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-adelaide","8":"tag-a-league","9":"tag-adelaide","10":"tag-adelaide-united","11":"tag-featured
["GET
