Tahlia Benvegnu-Carslake \u2013 Mr Carslake\u2019s partner of eight years when he died \u2013 said on their last night together, he surprised her with flowers when he arrived home from work.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe brought me flowers, just for no reason,\u201d she said. \u201cI didn\u2019t really see him the next morning, we just usually say bye and then he leaves.\u201d<\/p>\n

The family-owned business has more than 40 employees at its Edwardstown factory, providing machinery processes and services to a wide range of industries including agriculture, space, defence and mining.<\/p>\n
During the Covid pandemic, they worked closely with the Detmold Group to establish and launch a face mask production facility. Within 16 weeks, the factory was manufacturing 750,000 masks per day.<\/p>\n
It has also worked on the Collins class submarines, according to the Defence SA website.<\/p>\n
Industrial manslaughter became a criminal offence in South Australia on July 1, 2024.<\/p>\n
Individuals face a maximum penalty of 20 years\u2019 jail if convicted, while the maximum<\/p>\n
fine for a corporation is $18m.<\/p>\n
