Bec Judd has slammed Victoria\u2019s new premier Ben Carroll in a scathing rant, accusing him of being complicit in the \u201cdownfall\u201d of the state. <\/p>\n
The AFL WAG took to Instagram on Tuesday to blast Carroll to her hundreds of thousands of followers. <\/p>\n
Former premier Jacinta Allan sparked a dramatic leadership spill after resigning on Tuesday, with Labor electing Carroll after a chaotic few hours.<\/p>\n
Alongside a news article announcing Carroll\u2019s position<\/a>, the influencer remarked: \u201cNever forget that this man sat side-by-side with Daniel Andrews and Jacinta Allan and was complicit in the downfall of Victoria.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSame s**t. Different face,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n Judd isn\u2019t the only one to speak out against Carroll and Labour in recent days. <\/p>\n Opposition Leader Jess Wilson says it does not matter who runs the Labor Party because the government\u2019s problems run far deeper.<\/p>\n \u201cIt does not matter who leads this government,\u201d Wilson told parliament following Carroll\u2019s appointment.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Labor Party does not have the guts to admit the government has forfeited its moral authority to govern.\u201d<\/p>\n Wilson argued that the new Premier could not detach himself from Jacinta Allan\u2019s unpopular decisions because he was sitting at the cabinet table when they were made.<\/p>\n Back in 2024, Judd described Melbourne as \u201cwoke, broke and violent\u201d<\/a> when airing her concerns about violent crime.<\/p>\n \u201cMelbourne this is sad. Woke, broke and violent. I can\u2019t believe we are living like this,\u201d she wrote on Instagram, reacting to a 3AW<\/a> segment about residents being encouraged to put Apple Airtags in their cars.<\/p>\n Two years before that, Judd said she felt unsafe in her multimillion-dollar mansion<\/a> and claimed the Victorian government didn\u2019t \u201cseem to care\u201d or be doing anything about violent crime in Bayside.<\/p>\n She said at the time that she personally knew two women who had experienced home invasions in Brighton in recent weeks.<\/p>\n Judd is famously outspoken on social media, and back in June she slammed her former employer, Nine, for firing Karl Stefanovic. <\/p>\n \u201cNo matter what side of politics you sit on, everybody deserves the right to their opinion, even if you don\u2019t agree with it,\u201d she said on social media regarding her pal\u2019s<\/a> firing. <\/p>\n \u201cFreedom of speech nurtures critical thinking, prevents groupthink and allows people to build a tolerance for perspectives that are outside their own.<\/p>\n \u201cMost importantly, it is integral to a strong democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n
