A teenage boy is being hunted by police after a 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed on the NSW Central Coast, with detectives stating the attack was not random.<\/p>\n
Emergency crews were called to Mann St in Gosford about 7.30pm on Tuesday after reports a man had been stabbed in the chest and abdomen. <\/p>\n
Paramedics treated the 22-year-old at the scene before he was taken to Gosford Hospital, where he later died.<\/p>\n
Police believe the victim and the 15-year-old had both been travelling on the same bus before getting off in Gosford and walking to the main street, where a fight broke out. <\/p>\n
Investigators said the pair boarded the bus at different stops, though what sparked the confrontation was still unknown.<\/p>\n
Superintendent Darryl Jobson said detectives believed the two were known to each other and stressed the violence was not a random attack.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is an incident in which we believe the parties were known to each other,\u201d Superintendent Jobson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no threat to the broader community.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said police had already spoken to several people as the investigation gathered pace.<\/p>\n
The teenage suspect was last seen running from the area. <\/p>\n
