Jindalee vet clinic Animal Emergency Services has gone viral after revealing the wacky reason a beagle was rushed in for treatment.<\/p>\n
The Brisbane-based dog, a young female named Scooter, was raced into the clinic after her worried owner noticed some stomach-related concerns.<\/p>\n
After arriving at the Queensland vet, the cause of the beagle\u2019s symptoms turned out to come from something way sweeter than expected.<\/p>\n
\u201cScooter came in to see us as AES Jindalee after consuming an entire 1kg+ bag of snakes,\u201d the vet clinic shared on Tuesday in a now-viral post.<\/p>\n
Accompanying the post was a photo of the young beagle, who was surrounded by piles of regurgitated lollies.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, the speedy intervention meant the experts were able to quickly expel the sugary snacks from Scooter \u2014 but the vet said the dog had no regrets from her binge-eating session.<\/p>\n
\u201cScooter said the experience was a 10\/10 and she would do it again in a heartbeat.\u201d<\/p>\n
The hound didn\u2019t require surgery after the adventure, with the dog leaving the clinic with an empty stomach and hopefully a lesson learnt.<\/p>\n

After the vet clinic\u2019s post about Scooter went viral, Aussies across the nation were quick to comment on the beagle\u2019s wild misadventure.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can just tell she tried to eat the puked lollies again by her face,\u201d one comment said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy is Scooter my spirit animal when it comes to food?\u201d another person joked.<\/p>\n
One Aussie even took the opportunity to make a Toy Story reference: \u201cThere\u2019s a snake in my puke!\u201d<\/p>\n
The post also led to Aussie beagle owners noticing a trend in the breed \u2014 with many revealing their beagle had also made an impromptu vet trip after wolfing down something they shouldn\u2019t have.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur beagle broke into the 20kg dry food tub and ate until he literally couldn\u2019t get back up,\u201d one owner said.<\/p>\n
\u201c(My beagle has had) half a bottle of ibuprofen, an entire bag of Reese\u2019s and a full one-gallon bag of raisins and cashews,\u201d another Aussie wrote about their fur-baby.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf beagles had thumbs, they\u2019d break into banks,\u201d a third commenter joked.<\/p>\n
While consuming 1kg of lollies may have worked out okay in the end for Scooter, experts have warned about the risks that human food can bring to pets.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not just the quantity that owners should be cautious of \u2014 the wrong ingredients could also put your canine\u2019s life on the life.<\/p>\n
One of the biggest concerns relating to human lollies and dogs comes from the chemical xyliyol, a toxic ingredient that can cause hypoglycemia, seizures and even death in canines.<\/p>\n
Many lollies in Australia do not contain xylitol but experts warn that sugar-free lollies and gum may still contain the deadly chemical.<\/p>\n
