Patrons of this year\u2019s Royal Adelaide Show can expect to pay up to $2.50 more per ticket than last time the nine days of fun, thrills and food came to town. <\/p>\n
For children aged between five and 15, entry will cost $17 on a weekday and $21 on Saturday and Sunday before 6pm \u2014 pricing that is up 50 cents from last year.<\/p>\n
Both weekday and weekend adult tickets have increased by $1 to $29 and $35 respectively.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the combined family-of-four ticket has risen by $2 on a weekday to $69 and by $2.50 to $79.50 on a weekend. <\/p>\n
However, after 6pm on a weekend is when adults can score the biggest saving, as tickets drop by $6. <\/p>\n
Entry to the show for little ones aged under five remains free.<\/p>\n
For the young Agostino family, the show is a \u201ctreat\u201d they look forward to every year and say is a \u201cgood value\u201d day out for the five of them.<\/p>\n
Mother to Stella, 10, Marcie, 4, and Giuseppe, 1, Bernadette Agostino told The Advertiser it was the \u201catmosphere\u201d of the show that made her excited to come back year after year.<\/p>\n
\u201cSince I was a kid, I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve missed a year,\u201d Ms Agostino, 41 of Athelstone, said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s Disneyland in Adelaide.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said her two older children had been saving pocket money to spend on rides and showbags with dedication for months in the lead up to the big event. <\/p>\n
Show tickets are on sale from Thursday July 31.<\/p>\n
