Kincoppal-Rose Bay School transformed its 144-year-old harbourside campus into a large-scalel lighting installation during Vivid Sydney, demonstrating how schools can use major cultural events to reimagine community marketing.<\/p>\n
The school became part of Sydney\u2019s night-time skyline, illuminating its heritage-listed buildings with a synchronised installation of 12 spotlights inspired by the rhythm and movement of the Sydney Harbour Bridge lighting design.<\/p>\n
The activation marked the first time an independent school has created a major architectural lighting experience outside Sydney\u2019s CBD during Vivid Sydney. It was designed as a strategic enrolment and brand campaign rather than a standalone event.<\/p>\n
It combined paid social media, search, PR, community engagement, content marketing, direct marketing and a purpose-built digital experience to drive awareness and convert interest into school discovery tours.<\/p>\n
Campaign results included more than 4,650 active users visiting the dedicated campaign microsite and over 5,500 page views generated throughout the campaign.<\/p>\n
Paid social delivered large-scale reach and email marketing produced its highest conversion rate at approximately 10 per cent conversion to bookings.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndependent schools are competing in an increasingly crowded market. We wanted to move beyond traditional school marketing and create something that people would genuinely remember,\u201d said Kincoppal-Rose Bay director of strategic engagement Katherine Sadler.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis wasn\u2019t simply about lighting our buildings. It was about creating a powerful brand moment that celebrated our heritage while showcasing our ambition, creativity and willingness to innovate.\u201d<\/p>\n
