(ABC News: Erin Byrnes)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">As the site in Bowen Hills continues to develop and modernise ahead of the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Ekka wants to carry on recognising its storied past.<\/p>\n<p>A dagwood dog pioneer and sharpshooting grandma<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Cattle, horses and horticulture displays are just some of the many popular mainstays of the Ekka. I&#8217;m very proud of the Ekka,&#8221; said Ms Bridgewater.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;I feel nostalgia too as I walk down sideshow alley. I can see the past \u2026 and at the same time I see how it&#8217;s changed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;But I don&#8217;t feel a sense of regret.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;The atmosphere has changed \u2026 but it&#8217;s just life. Everything changes.
