Melbourne City FC is delighted to\u00a0announce\u00a0Spanish goalkeeper Malena Mieres has re-signed with the Club for the 2026\/27 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The deal will see Mieres enter her third season\u00a0at\u00a0City after playing an integral role in one of the most successful periods in the Club\u2019s history.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since arriving ahead of the 2024\/25 campaign, Mieres has\u00a0established\u00a0herself as one of the competition\u2019s premier goalkeepers, making 55\u00a0appearances across all competitions while helping City secure back-to-back Premierships\u00a0and\u00a0the 2025\/26 Ninja A-League Championship.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Known for her composure, commanding presence and outstanding shot-stopping ability, Mieres has been a cornerstone of City\u2019s defensive success, consistently producing crucial saves in the biggest moments.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her re-signing provides another significant boost to City\u2019s squad as the reigning Premiers and Champions prepare to defend\u00a0domestic titles while embarking on a third consecutive AFC Women\u2019s Champions League campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Melbourne City FC Director of Football Michael Petrillo said\u00a0retaining\u00a0Mieres was an important piece of the Club\u2019s planning for the season ahead.\u00a0<\/p>\n
