{"id":66960,"date":"2026-08-07T06:03:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T06:03:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/66960\/"},"modified":"2026-08-07T06:03:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T06:03:09","slug":"four-teenagers-charged-with-murder-over-alleged-fatal-assault-south-of-brisbane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/66960\/","title":{"rendered":"Four teenagers charged with murder over alleged fatal assault south of Brisbane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Four teenagers have been charged with murder over the death of a 21-year-old man who was allegedly seriously assaulted in Brisbane&#8217;s south late last month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Police say emergency services were called to Discovery Boulevard at Bahrs Scrub about 2:15am on July 26 after reports of a large disturbance involving a group of people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Police found several damaged vehicles and a nearby home had also been damaged.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">A 21-year-old Redbank Plains man was found nearby on Orchard Avenue with critical head injuries and was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he died on August 1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Following an extensive investigation, detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch and the Homicide Investigation Unit executed 14 search warrants across Logan, south Brisbane and Ipswich on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Five men aged between 18 and 22 were arrested.<\/p>\n<p>Four charged with murder<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Joshua Jackson John Jirima, 18, Amnaud Nduwayo, 19 and Kandour Khalil Tagelsir, 18, have each been charged with one count of murder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Sunday Obol, 19, has been charged with murder, intimidation, harassing or abuse, unlawful stalking, robbery, extortion, and deprivation of liberty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Mr Jirima, Mr Nduwayo and Mr Tagelsir&#8217;s matters were heard in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">They did not appear and were all remanded in custody.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Exterior shot of the Brisbane Magistrates Court\" class=\"Image_image__5tFYM ContentImage_image__DQ_cq\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/3a16d7f2c5845bafba10922ff2f5b423.jpeg\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"Image\" data-lazy=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP FigureCaption_text__zDxQ5 Typography_sizeMobile12__w_FPC Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">Three teenagers charged with murder had their matters heard in Brisbane Magistrates Court. (ABC News: Luke Bowden)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">They will each reappear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 24.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">22-year-old Lasender Sheriff has also been charged with contravening an order to provide information necessary to access electronically stored information.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">His matter was heard in court on Friday.
