The family of a young woman killed when an allegedly stolen car slammed head-on into her SUV have remembered the 25-year-old as \u201cbeautiful inside and out\u201d.<\/p>\n

Savannah Spence Paige, 25, died when an allegedly stolen Land Cruiser crashed into her RAV4 on the Smithfield Bypass on Wednesday.<\/a><\/p>\n

Savannah\u2019s family released a statement on Friday paying tribute to their \u201cbeautiful Savannah\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur family would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us during the horrific loss of our beautiful Savannah,\u201d the statement says.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are beyond devastated by her passing. Savannah was beautiful inside and out, with a smile that lit up every room\u2026 She has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.\u201d<\/p>\n

Savannah and her partner Lachie were only just beginning the next chapter of their lives together, having built a new home in Cairns, the family said.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo have that future taken away so suddenly is something our family is struggling to comprehend,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

They also thanked detectives and emergency services for their professionalism and compassion throughout the investigation, saying their support \u201chas meant more to us than words can express\u201d.<\/p>\n

A candlelight vigil to honour Savannah\u2019s life will be held at Fogarty Park on Sunday from 5.30pm.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we try to come to terms with the loss of our precious Savannah, we ask for privacy as we grieve and support one another through the days and weeks ahead,\u201d the family said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSavannah will be loved always, remembered forever, and never forgotten.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police have charged 36-year-old Jake Edward Warn with manslaughter, stealing and showing callous disregard for an injured person.<\/p>\n

After the crash, Warn allegedly fled the wreckage and carjacked a 71-year-old man, forcing him to drive away from the scene.<\/p>\n

Warn was arrested north-west of the CBD and is now in hospital under police guard. He was allegedly under the influence at the time of the crash<\/p>\n

7NEWS revealed on Thursday that Warn was released on bail in April by a Supreme Court judge to receive cancer treatment.<\/p>\n
