charged over alleged Coogee Bay Rd assault caught on CCTV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A night outing Sydney\u2019s east ended with a man in hospital, blood on the pavement and bystanders yelling for an ambulance after an alleged street assault was captured on security footage.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency services were called to Coogee Bay Rd about 11pm on Saturday after reports of an assault in Coogee.<\/p>\n<p>Security footage appears to show the moments before the confrontation turned violent. <\/p>\n<p>A small group, including a younger man in a white shirt and the alleged victim, can be seen talking and hugging on the street.<\/p>\n<p>The footage then appears to show the younger man slap the 41-year-old before advancing towards him.<\/p>\n<p>The older man backs away with his hands raised, appearing to try to stop the blows, before he is seen on the ground as others rush in to help.<\/p>\n<p>A woman can be heard yelling for someone to call an ambulance while bystanders roll the injured man onto his side.<\/p>\n<p>The footage then appears to show the group trying to walk back towards the fallen man before the woman pushes one away.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook what you\u2019ve done to him,\u201d she yelled.<\/p>\n<p>Paramedics treated the 41-year-old man at the scene before taking him to Prince of Wales Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Police from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command began investigating, arresting a 26-year-old man at the scene before taking him to Maroubra Police Station. <\/p>\n<p>He was later charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and refused bail to
