Cam McInnes could end his distinguished career out west as reports have emerged that the Bears have offered the veteran forward a contract. <\/p>\n

McInnes is without a deal for next season and according to the SMH,<\/a> the Bears are keen to pounce on the Sharks star.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

They\u2019ve reportedly offered McInnes a two-year deal until the end of 2028. <\/p>\n

Cronulla are open to keeping the 32-year-old but there\u2019s also been interest from other NRL clubs and even Super League teams in the UK.<\/p>\n

While McInnes has yet to make a decision, he isn\u2019t the only Shark with decisions to make on their future. Several Cronulla players are off contract at the end of this season.<\/p>\n

Teammate Siosifa Talakai is one who has been forced out the door, with Talakai signing with Perth.<\/p>\n

If McInnes is to sign with Perth, he\u2019d become their most high-profile addition to date. <\/p>\n

FORMER BRONCOS HOOKER AIMING FOR RETURN TO AUS<\/p>\n

A member of the Brisbane Broncos team that won the 2025 NRL Premiership, Tyson Smoothy\u2019s time overseas could come to an end sooner than expected.<\/p>\n

Less than 12 months into a three-year contract with Super League outfit Wakefield Trinity, Love Rugby League<\/a> reports that Smoothy has expressed a desire to return to Australia. <\/p>\n

It is understood that his family is keen on returning home and he has already approached the club about an early departure.<\/p>\n

While the two parties are said to remain on amicable terms, he is extremely unlikely to be handed a mid-season exit, meaning he will be there until at least the end of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
