(Supplied: Peninsula Hot Springs)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">\u201cHe&#8217;s like &#8216;please mum&#8217;, so of course I let him go for one more lap,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">But she said she soon heard Braymond\u2019s scream for help.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;My son was just bleeding from the throat,&#8221; she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;It&#8217;s the worst thing \u2026 you never want to imagine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;I&#8217;ve never seen him in so much pain. (Supplied: Bronwyn Wood)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">She said she drove her son straight to the Cunnamulla hospital before he was flown to Roma and on to Toowoomba Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Braymond returned home to Cunnamulla on Monday nursing severe rope burn, scratches on his neck, and some internal bruising after the clotheslining incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;The relief, knowing that the outcome could have been so much worse. (Supplied: Bronwyn Wood)<\/p>\n<p>Ropes potentially left by drovers<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Police said they are investigating the crash and have patrolled the track for any further risks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">Braymond\u2019s\u00a0dad, Brendon Pyke, said the area along Old Charleville\u00a0Road had been used by drovers recently and suggested it was possible that the ropes had mistakenly been left up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;It&#8217;s electric fence wire designed to hold cattle in,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">&#8220;I can&#8217;t say for sure but I&#8217;m thinking maybe they have left it behind.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"Image_image__5tFYM ContentImage_image__DQ_cq\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/afbc3423f3fc935790ebeede456defcc.jpeg\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"Image\" data-lazy=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP FigureCaption_text__zDxQ5 Typography_sizeMobile12__w_FPC Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">An electric fence wire was tied up across the Bandy motorcycle track in Cunnamulla with no visible marking.
