<\/p>\nTwo dominant school footy dynasties have etched their names even further into Herald Sun Shield history.<\/p>\n
Melbourne Girls Grammar and Rowville Secondary College recorded four and three titles respectively as the girls grand finals took over ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Melbourne Girls Grammar are school footy\u2019s leading force again.<\/p>\n
The powerhouse school produced a comprehensive performance to claim a fourth successive Herald Sun Shield senior girls premiership.<\/p>\n
They claimed an 8.7 (55) to 3.5 (23) win over a brave Carey Grammar at Port Melbourne\u2019s ETU Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Melbourne co-coach Tennille Nash said it would \u201ctake a while\u201d for the achievement of four straight titles to sink in.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re very lucky because we have a lot of skilful players but I think what makes us stand out a little more and helps us win games is we actually play as a team,\u201d Nash said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe play very well together. We\u2019ve got players from year 9 to 12 and they all get along. They just rally together.<\/p>\n
\u201cFour in a row is quite amazing and a few of these girls have played all four. It\u2019s just amazing to see them come through the program.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn our program for girls footy, we had 92 students sign up. Just to see girls come in and want to be involved in something is absolutely outstanding.\u201d<\/p>\n
Melbourne dominated territory for most of the game but could only muster a 16-point lead at the main break after holding Carey to just one goal in the first quarter.<\/p>\n
Eventually, Melbourne broke the game open with three goals to none in the third term and stretched the margin to 37 points at the final break.<\/p>\n
