In an exclusive chat with aleagues.com.au, Kisnorbo revealed the club is still very much active in the transfer market, and that a new forward could be arriving very soon.<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, I think there\u2019s things to happen, to be honest,\u201d Kisnorbo said, when speaking on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously it\u2019s just the timing of when or if (someone) comes in, but there\u2019s room I think in our squad for players to come in.\u201d<\/p>\n
Manchester United\u2019s young Australian defender James Overy has been linked with a loan move to the Sky Blues ahead of the upcoming Isuzu UTE A-League season, and that name was put to Kisnorbo.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has been mentioned,\u201d smiled Kisnorbo, when asked about the reports. \u201cI can\u2019t give too much away, but again, there are spots in our team, and it\u2019s only for people that will improve it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, look, unfortunately Victor suffered that ACL injury, which is devastating because he\u2019s a great guy, great player.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut there is a gap. Potentially, there could be some movement around that space, but we\u2019ll have to just wait and see because obviously things take a bit of time to happen.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut it\u2019s an area that you know we\u2019re looking at.\u201d<\/p>\n
Transfers aside, the primary focus for Kisnorbo and his side is now an Australia Cup quarter-final clash with SD Raiders next weekend.<\/p>\n

Like many A-Leagues Head Coaches this off-season Kisnorbo has blooded plenty of young players in the 2026 Australia Cup alongside plenty run, and whilst that may present it\u2019s challenges at times, the Sydney FC boss believes there are plenty of positives to take from that.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s pros and cons to it. I think it\u2019s great you get to play games, but also it\u2019s a bit different because your squads aren\u2019t really sort of done yet. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe know there\u2019s been talks about this salary cap and all that. So you\u2019re trying to figure those things out, figure your squad out. <\/p>\n
\u201cLook at the A-League teams playing with a lot of younger players now because they don\u2019t know exactly about their squads.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut also it\u2019s a great test for the young kids to play against men, you know players that have played a lot of NPL football. <\/p>\n
\u201cSo look again, there\u2019s good things, but also there\u2019s some things that you actually can\u2019t control, and also you\u2019re trying to prepare for a league (campaign) as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
