(Supplied)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">The court had heard Mr Saunders had used his feet to touch young men sexually, grabbed their &#8220;privates&#8221; and in one instance, engaged in oral sex without consent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">As he chose not to give evidence in his defence, the playing of police interview recordings were the only occasions when the jurors could hear denials from Mr Saunders himself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">The prosecution told the jury Mr Saunders had a sexual interest in young Aboriginal men and a &#8220;tendency&#8221; to act on that interest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph_paragraph___QITb\">In closing submissions, prosecutor Adam Ebell said while the victims did have criminal histories, the jurors should focus on what they said happened to them at the hands of Saunders, a trusted figure at least one of the men referred to as &#8216;Brother B&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"A man walks with a phone to his ear.\" class=\"Image_image__5tFYM ContentImage_image__DQ_cq\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/australia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/61e00b435b8b0af7faf657aa8479039b.jpeg\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"Image\" data-lazy=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Typography_base__sj2RP FigureCaption_text__zDxQ5 Typography_sizeMobile12__w_FPC Typography_lineHeightMobile20___U7Vr Typography_regular__WeIG6 Typography_colourInherit__dfnUx\" data-component=\"Typography\">Prosecutor Adam Ebell encouraged the jury to focus on the testimony of the men.
