Three pupils of one of Sydney\u2019s most expensive schools are set to face court accused of an alleyway sexual assault against a girl of just 14.<\/p>\n
NSW Police have charged two 14-year-old boys and one aged 13 over an alleged incident three weeks ago in Sydney\u2019s eastern suburbs.<\/p>\n
All three boys attend The Scots College, one of Sydney\u2019s oldest boarding schools, which charges more than $50,000 a year for tuition.<\/p>\n
It is alleged a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in an alleyway on the evening of Wednesday, July 22.<\/p>\n
Police say \u201cextensive inquiries\u201d led to searches of several homes in the suburbs and the arrests of the three boys.<\/p>\n
Officers also seized electronic devices, two replica firearms, three laser pointers and a number plate from one of the homes – all believed to have been stolen.<\/p>\n
The trio were all taken to Surry Hills police station and are due to appear at children\u2019s court on Tuesday, August 25.<\/p>\n
Two of the boys, aged 14 and 13, were charged with aggravated sexual assault in company of others and two counts of aggravated sexual touching of another person.<\/p>\n
The other 14-year-old was charged with aggravated sexual assault and a single count of aggravated sexual touching of another person.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued on Thursday afternoon, the college confirmed it had been made aware of the allegations against the pupils.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Scots College is aware that three students are under investigation by the NSW Police force in relation to an alleged incident that occurred outside school hours,\u201d a statement reads.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe College became aware of further information through a media release issued by police this afternoon.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe College takes this matter seriously and has cooperated, and will continue to cooperate, with police as required.<\/p>\n
