Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron will host the seventh annual Ladies of the Sea (LOTS) Coaching Regatta from 2\u20134 October 2026, welcoming sailors from across Australia and New Zealand with the support of Club Marine.<\/p>\n
The RSYS LOTS Regatta is focused on coaching and helping participants build their skills, confidence and capability under the guidance of Nickie Jones, Australian Sailing\u2019s Chief Instructor \u2013 Keelboats.<\/p>\n
The event is open to sailors of all experience levels, from first-time participants through to those with many years of sailing experience.<\/p>\n
Divisions include spinnaker and non-spinnaker boats, all-female crews, and female-helm mixed crews. Male crew members are also welcome and encouraged to take part.<\/p>\n
Each day begins with skills-building activities before a series of short races gives sailors the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice.<\/p>\n
RSYS Vice Commodore Karyn Gojnich OLY said the regatta is designed to support and grow women\u2019s participation in sailing.<\/p>\n
\u201cRSYS hosts the Ladies of the Sea coaching regatta to build women\u2019s sailing. We would love to welcome sailors from across the country to Sydney Harbour for a weekend of learning, confidence-building and outstanding sailing.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is a unique opportunity to be coached by some of Australia\u2019s most accomplished and experienced women sailors, who usually have as much fun as the participants!\u201d<\/p>\n
Nickie Jones said the event\u2019s combination of learning and camaraderie was a major part of its appeal.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love coming to RSYS\u2019s LOTS Regatta. It is a joy to see the growth among sailors, and the camaraderie that is built.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sailors are welcome to bring their own boats, charter a boat, or request to be assigned to a boat.<\/p>\n
