Such statistics make me worry for this country’s future.”

News 24 reports Hancock Prospecting’s position is that those remarks were about the pressure of competing with lower-cost overseas producers, not a call for Australian wages to be cut to that level.

The latest correction comes amid continuing tension between Ms Rinehart and the national broadcaster following the fallout over an ABC-aired short film that depicted a fictional attack on her.

The broadcaster later apologised after widespread criticism, although the ABC Ombudsman found the program did not breach editorial policies and instead fell short of community expectations.

In an earlier statement, Hancock Prospecting said it was waiting to see whether “long overdue” changes would be made to the ABC’s editorial standards.

“We wait to see the long overdue changes to the ABC’s ‘editorial standards’. Such editorial standards need to stop sexual violence and torture-until-death episodes being shown or depicted in any form against any woman on the ABC, including under the pretence of satire or art or any other cloak,” the statement said.

“Satire needs to be funny; what the ABC approved to be aired for 25 days, in its violent torture-until-death content, was not.”

A second ABC piece involving Australia’s richest woman Gina Rinehart has been removed in as many weeks, this…

[2
60866,42292,102748,102758,46051,102745,102739,44825,102723,38184,37005,31771,46283,195,102732,49536,37996,37565,102719,102756,36958,102746,37726,102750,1647,102760,102751,102753,102720,39696,102733,102754,102757,102726,39736,102728,57392,102761,56775,88759,22,78224,23,102722,39376,21,21377,323,4680,41559,102755,33958,102731,51359,16190,16178,46304,3139,1928,2001,10219,102735,38310,102759,94953,102763,10820,37013,102730,47822,67724,65099,379,1955,102727,102742,37019,102749,61064,102747,102762,61262,102729,102725,102752,39660,102740,102737,41300,37656,62842,55727,80349,63254,102744,102743,53736,102724,39103,43075,91588,38403,41308,102741,83015,36522,36556,39006,37452,92283,102738,102734,22441,102736,102721
post-72644","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-australia","tag-s-editorial-standards","tag-s-future","tag-s-global-competitiveness","tag-s-international-competitiveness","tag-s-position","tag-s-previous-comments","tag-s-richest-woman","tag-s-rise","tag-long-overdue-changes","tag-38184","tag-37005","tag-31771","tag-46283","tag-195","tag-25-days","tag-a-call","tag-a-complaint","tag-a-day","tag-a-fictional-attack","tag-a-fresh-complaint","tag-a-result","tag-a-second-abc-piece","tag-a-statement","tag-a-tonne","tag-abc","tag-abc-radio-south-west-victoria","tag-african-workers","tag-africans","tag-an-abc-aired-short-film","tag-an-appearance","tag-an-average-capital-cost","tag-an-earlier-statement","tag-an-emerging-producer","tag-an-inaccurate-wage-claim","tag-an-interview","tag-an-on-air-correction","tag-any-form","tag-any-other-cloak","tag-any-woman","tag-as-many-weeks","tag-au","tag-august-2026","tag-australia","tag-australian-wages","tag-australian-workers","tag-austrlia","tag-billionaires","tag-business","tag-claim","tag-comments","tag-community-expectations-in","tag-contest","tag-continuing-tension","tag-day","tag-editorial-policies","tag-editorial-standards","tag-friday-in","tag-funding","tag-gina-rinehart","tag-hancock-prospecting","tag-iron-ore","tag-its-violent-torture-until-death-content","tag-its-website","tag-its-workers","tag-less-than-2","tag-lower-cost-overseas-producers","tag-ms","tag-ms-rinehart","tag-ms-sheppard","tag-my-opinion","tag-news-24","tag-news24","tag-newswire-news","tag-one-nation","tag-our-biggest-customers","tag-radio-interview","tag-rinehart","tag-rinehart-wage-remark","tag-satire","tag-satire-or-art","tag-sexual-violence-and-torture-until-death-episodes","tag-short","tag-such-editorial-standards","tag-such-statistics","tag-that-level-the-latest-correction","tag-the-abc","tag-the-abc-ombudsman","tag-the-abc-radio-south-west-victoria-interview","tag-the-broadcaster","tag-the-claim","tag-the-comment","tag-the-context","tag-the-correction","tag-the-fallout","tag-the-long-overdue-changes","tag-the-massive-amounts","tag-the-national-broadcaster","tag-the-pilbara","tag-the-polls","tag-the-pressure","tag-the-pretence","tag-the-price","tag-the-program","tag-the-program-host-jeremy-lee","tag-the-remark","tag-the-statement","tag-the-time","tag-this-country","tag-this-time","tag-those-remarks","tag-two-dollars","tag-victorian-socialists-candidate-hera-sheppard","tag-wednesday","tag-west-african-competitors","tag-widespread-criticism
["GET
