Moldovan international striker Virgiliu Postolachi is set to join Brisbane Roar on a two-year deal.<\/p>\n

Postolachi, 26, has been with Universitatea Cluj since September last year but is yet to play for the Romanian top-flight club in a competitive match this season.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s understood that an agreement between the Cluj club and Brisbane has been signed, with Postolachi to soon be unveiled as a Roar player.<\/p>\n

Postolachi netted two goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for the Cluj outfit and has scored once in 37 appearances for Moldova.<\/p>\n

Born in the Moldovan city of Edinet, Postolachi moved to France as a two-year-old and played youth team football for Paris Saint-Germain.<\/p>\n

He later played for PSG\u2019s reserves before signing with another French club, Lille, where he also he failed to find first-team football.<\/p>\n

In 2020, the 189cm marksman joined Belgian club Mouscron before moving on loan the following year to Danish outfit Vendsyssel.<\/p>\n

Postolachi has also had spells with two other Romanian clubs, UTA Arad and CFR Cluj, as well as French team Grenoble.<\/p>\n

The Roar squad travels to Indonesia next week for friendly games against Dewa United and Persija Jakarta.<\/p>\n

Roar chief executive Kaz Patafta said: \u201cThis is a piece of history for our football club, and a trip we have been working on for some time.<\/p>\n
