Melbourne City have re-signed defender Aimee Medwin ahead of the 2026\/27 Ninja A-League season.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old returns to City, where she made her professional debut in Round 1 of the 2018\/19 season, after spending the past four years with Western United and Brisbane Roar.<\/p>\n

Medwin left Australia to play college football in the United States with the University of Mississippi and Long Beach State University before returning to the Ninja A-League in 2022.<\/p>\n

She made 23 appearances for Brisbane last season, scoring three goals and providing three assists as the Roar reached the Semi Finals.<\/p>\n

Predominantly deployed at full-back, Medwin adds further defensive depth to a City squad preparing to defend its Premiership and Championship titles while competing in the AFC Women\u2019s Champions League for a third consecutive season.<\/p>\n

Melbourne City Director of Football Michael Petrillo said Medwin\u2019s versatility would be an asset to the squad.<\/p>\n

\u201cAimee is a dynamic and versatile defender who we\u2019re pleased to welcome back to Melbourne City,\u201d Petrillo said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe has developed significantly since we first saw her as a young player, and her performances last season showed the impact she can have at both ends of the pitch.<\/p>\n

Medwin said returning to the club where her professional career began was a special opportunity.<\/p>\n
