Melbourne City FC is pleased to announce the signing of defender Aimee Medwin ahead of the 2026\/27 campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old returns to the Club where she made her professional debut in Round 1 of the 2018\/19 season, before moving to the United States to play college football with the University of Mississippi and Long Beach State University.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Medwin returned to the Ninja A-League in 2022 and has since made 64 league appearances across spells with Western United and Brisbane Roar.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She enjoyed an impressive 2025\/26 campaign in Brisbane, playing a key role in the Roar\u2019s run to the Semi Finals while contributing three goals and three assists from 23 appearances.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Predominantly deployed at full-back, Medwin\u2019s pace,\u00a0versatility\u00a0and ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch will provide City with another dynamic\u00a0option\u00a0across the backline.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She joins the reigning Premiers and Champions as City prepares to defend its domestic titles and compete in a third consecutive AFC Women\u2019s Champions League campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Melbourne City FC Director of Football Michael Petrillo said Medwin\u2019s versatility and attacking qualities would make her a valuable addition to the squad.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cShe has developed significantly since we first saw her as a young player, and her performances last season showed the impact she can have at both ends of the pitch.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHer pace and ability to get forward give us another attacking threat from defence, while her flexibility will provide us with\u00a0different options throughout the season.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Medwin said she was excited by the opportunity to contribute to City\u2019s continued success.\u00a0<\/p>\n
