Danish midfielder Emiliano Marcondes, a former teammate of Socceroos striker Mohamed Toure at Norwich City, has joined Melbourne City.<\/p>\n

Marcondes, 31, has signed a season-long deal with the Melbourne club after leaving Norwich following the Canaries\u2019 2025-26 English Championship campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d heard a lot of positive things about the club, the style of football the team wants to play and the ambition that exists here, and my first impressions since arriving have only reinforced that,\u201d said he former Danish under-21 international, who has also had stints with Brentford, Bournemouth and Hibernian. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always enjoyed playing in teams that want to control the ball and play positive football … and will do everything I can to help bring success to the club.\u201d <\/p>\n

City\u2019s football director Michael Petrillo said Marcondes\u2019 \u201cexperience and creativity would add another exciting dimension\u201d to the team\u2019s attack. <\/p>\n
